Billing & Financial Policies
We are contracted in-network providers for certain insurance companies and out-of-network providers for other insurance companies. We will bill your insurance and await their explanation of benefits according to your contractual obligations and then bill the appropriate amount for our claims. Our prices are affordable and the quality provided is exceptional. Our billing practices are transparent. Our billing office can be easily reached and is happy to explain charges before or after your consultation or procedure.
Insurance coverage is often ambiguous and confusing these days. We strive to explain cost to you based on your out of pocket expenses in a manner that is straightforward and easy to understand.
If you would like to understand your cost of consultation or procedure, please contact our office and provide your insurance information, and we can explain it as it relates to your particular plan.

It is our mission to provide our patients with expert care in a timely manner. In order to improve availability for our patients, we ask that you please respect our cancellation policy for appointments and procedures.
Cancellation of an Appointment or Procedure
If it is necessary for you to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call the office at least one working day (24 hours) in advance. If you must cancel a scheduled endoscopic procedure, we require that you call at least three working days (72 hours) in advance. Appointments and procedure times are in high demand, and early cancellation will give another person the possibility to have access to timely care.
How to Cancel Your Appointment or Procedure
To cancel an appointment or procedure, please call the office at (310) 652-4472. You may leave a detailed message on the voicemail if you are unable to speak directly with an assistant.
Late Cancellation or No Show
Patients failing to cancel their office appointment as indicated above (at least 24 hours in advance) will be billed a cancellation fee of $100 if an initial consult and $75 for a follow-up visit. Patients failing to cancel their scheduled procedure as indicated above (at least 72 hours in advance) will be billed a cancellation fee of $250.
All fees must be paid in full prior to the scheduling of future appointments.
The Charity Pay Program
An exciting new program introduced this year by Dr. Treyzon is Charity Pay. The way it works is as follows: we accept your volunteered time or your financial contribution to a charity of your choice in lieu of paying us directly for our services. You benefit because you have given to charity, we benefit because we feel we have contributed to our community, and most importantly, the recipients of the charity benefit directly from your generous time and service.
Here is a short list of charities that other patients have volunteered with:
- Ehlers Danlos National Foundation
- Braille Institute
- Make a Wish Foundation
- Bill Foundation (dog by dog)
